Kinetic Pro features thumb operated speed and brake controls, easy access gear switch, and stylish LCD display unit. Three different power modes determine speed and range. An intelligent speed cruise feature allows the system to maintain speed without use of the thumb control. A high intensity LED light is fitted to allow use during darker rides. The SPADA Kinetic Pro scooter uses a powerful disc brake to guarantee high performance braking and air-filled tyres for improved comfort and grip. ARE E-SCOOTERS LEGAL IN THE UK?
Yes and no! Currently rental scooters are being trialled in some of the UK’s major cities to ascertain if they can be used safely. Privately owned e-scooters are not currently legal to use on UK public roads or pathways. Depending on the results of the current trial the government may consider a regulation similar to e-bikes which operate using a pedal assist battery. If the regulation is to change the UK may adopt the ABE certification currently used in Germany.
WHAT IS ABE?
ABE is a German standard that ensures small electric vehicles use quality components and materials. In Germany where e-scooters are approved for use on the public highway they require vehicle registration and insurance which cannot be achieved if they are not ABE certified. Unlike general production e-scooters the Spada Kinetic Pro is ABE approved which requires rigorous product testing before certification can be issued.
